Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-04-25
In compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose the following:
Some of the links on The Basketball Fans are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. These commissions help us keep the site running and free to read.
Affiliate programs we participate in
- Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Product links to amazon.com and its shortened amzn.to URLs are affiliate links.
- JD Sports (via Rakuten Advertising). Through the Rakuten Advertising network,
we earn commission on qualifying purchases of athletic footwear and apparel at JD Sports,
including Nike, Jordan Brand, Adidas, and Under Armour. These links are marked
rel="nofollow sponsored". - SeatGeek. Via Impact, we earn a commission for ticket purchases made through links to seatgeek.com.
Display advertising
We also serve third-party display ads through our ad-management partner (currently Ezoic). These ads are separate from affiliate links and are disclosed to you at the network level rather than per-ad.
What we do not do
- We do not accept sportsbook, fantasy-cash-entry, crypto, alcohol, or tobacco affiliate partnerships. The site is family-friendly by design.
- We do not let affiliate relationships influence editorial content. Recommendations are based on what we believe is genuinely useful to the reader; partnerships come after the writing, not before.
- We do not publish fake product reviews, fabricated player quotes, or any content misrepresenting an author's experience with a product.
